Cryo Cured Grand Daddy Purps – Cultivated in house
We’re very happy to announce our newest addition to the menu; A Classic that is well known to the cannabis community. A great indica bred by the well known breeder Ken Estes, this strain is one we are proud to have in the garden.
Cryo curing involves freezing the water in the cannabis into a solid and then turning it into a vapour (aka sublimation). The highest temp it reaches during the curing is 10C (50F) which isn’t even room temp! The cannabis is frozen down to -40F and then rapidly brought up to 50f to create the sublimation. Like with any curing method, you’ll lose some terpenes with cryo curing, but not nearly as many as you would doing the traditional hang dry. We’ve tested our Cryo cured herbs and they’ve always had just as high or more of a terpene percentage than flowers cured using the regular method. This method allows you to save both sesquiterpenes and monoterpenes, meaning you’ll taste more terps than you would if you dried and cured this same strain normally.
This Grand Daddy Purple is made up of dense buds that are sticky and absolutely reek of grape gas. The smell translates extremely well to the taste. Sticky and bright green with purple hues, these medium to large sized buds are quite impressive on a visual scale.
Ash burns 85-90% white. We’re very happy with this one.
Patients can expect to see more cryo cured work coming out in the next week or so!
